Going strong since 2004, CZ and the Bon Vivants dish up Cajun and Zydeco classics with flair.
Andrew Carrier, accordion/vocals, hails from southwest Louisiana musical royalty. His father Bebe Carrier is in the Cajun Hall of Fame. Andrew has never been known to give less than 150% of his high energy to a show.
Catherine Matovich, fiddle/vocals/Andrew’s dance partner, has jammed with Bo Diddley and plays in back up bands for pop stars, most recently the Eagles, Barbra Streisand and Johnny Mathis. Jim Scott, guitar, cut his teeth with Jeffrey Broussard and Mark St. Mary.
Elaine Herrick, bass, first met Andrew at a jam in Napa where he told her to watch his feet and she’d get it. In addition to CZ, Elaine also plays jazz, blues and classical. Tim Orr, drums, is the drummer we don’t deserve but are so grateful to have. He can follow anything.
Tim has written for Drum magazine and currently works for the Monterey Jazz Festival.
CZ and the Bon Vivants can be heard at festivals up and down the west coast and Nevada.

Ashkenaz is all ages, all the time. Kids and minors are always welcome. Those 12 or under are admitted FREE (unless otherwise noted).
