Cycle tour: Meet at junction of Crystal Palace Parade and Farquhar Road, SE19 1UD

Lambeth Archivist, Jon Newman leads a cycle ride along the nine-mile length of the Effra, Lambeth’s longest lost river. From its source at Crystal Palace to its entry into the Thames at Nine Elms, the route follows its ancient course through Norwood, Dulwich, Herne Hill, Brixton, Kennington and Vauxhall.

Come with a reasonable bike, moderate fitness and prepared for some climbing.
