Now what is a Beta Event?
Beta Events offer a limited-scale opportunity to experience Cyberpunk TCG before its official release. These events serve as an exclusive preview of our upcoming pre-release structure, providing players with the unique chance to secure limited-edition Beta cards at their local game store.
How it Works: The Sealed Format In these sealed deck tournaments, every participant receives an event kit containing:
A special promo card
Six (6) Cyberpunk TCG booster packs
A supplementary pack featuring three random Legend cards
Upon arrival, players use only the contents of their sealed kit to construct their decks. Since the cards are randomized, every player starts on equal footing. Once deck construction concludes, your tournament organizer will begin pairing participants for competitive play.
In sealed deck tournaments like Beta Events and Pre-releases, players receive a kit containing a promo card, six Cyberpunk TCG booster packs, and a pack containing three random additional Legend cards. At the start of the event, the first thing you’ll do is construct a deck to play with, using the contents of your sealed packs — that’s where the name comes from! You can’t add any other cards you own to this deck until after the tournament is complete. Everything you play with comes from your sealed event kit. Your tournament organizer will let you know when deck construction time is complete, and they’ll then begin pairing you against random opponents.
What do I need to bring with me on the day? Sealed deck events are designed to be extremely accessible. In terms of gameplay materials, the kit you receive at the start of the tournament will contain everything you need to play, including a set of six polyhedral dice (d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20).
To ensure you are fully prepared for the event, we recommend bringing a playmat and card sleeves to protect your deck and facilitate easier shuffling. If you don't already own these items, they will be available for purchase at the store during the event.
