Experience the magic of creating photographs without a camera using sunlight and natural materials
About this Event

In this hands-on workshop, you'll explore cyanotype, a historic photographic printing process that uses sunlight to capture the delicate beauty, shapes and textures of natural and found materials.
Perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike, this workshop invites you to slow down, observe closely, and find inspiration in your surroundings.
WHAT TO EXPECT:

Learn each step of the process from preparing light-sensitive paper and arranging botanical compositions to exposing, rinsing, and revealing your finished prints.
Along the way, we'll discuss simple ways to create striking compositions while exploring the intersection of art, photography, science & the environment.
WHAT TO BRING:

Workshop materials shall be provided, but feel free to bring items you'd like to print with, such as:

• Leaves, flowers, and grasses

• Feathers

• Lace, fabrics, or textured materials

• Small translucent objects

Workshop may be postponed if it rains!
