About this Event

Guided by trainer Billy and ART:DIS artists, participants will be introduced to this distinctive image-making process and explore how simple objects can be transformed into striking blue-and-white prints.

Through guided demonstrations and hands-on experimentation, participants will create their own compositions using leaves, flowers and other materials, exploring how shape, layering and placement can influence the final design. Using sunlight to expose their artwork, they will witness the transformation of everyday objects into unique printed images.

Along the way, participants will gain insight into the creative possibilities of cyanotype, a process celebrated for its rich blue tones and organic, expressive qualities. Suitable for beginners and curious makers alike, this workshop encourages experimentation, creativity and play while offering an accessible introduction to a unique form of printmaking.

By the end of the session, participants will have created their own custom cyanotype tote bag and gained a deeper appreciation for the creative process behind this distinctive art form.
