Cyanotype Print Tote Bag

Discover the magic of cyanotype printing with trainer Billy and ART:DIS artists Yao Qing and Abraham, as you explore this unique sun-powered image-making process using sunlight and natural materials. Through a mini starter kit, participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of cyanotype before creating their own one-of-a-kind cyanotype tote bag to take home.

Through guided demonstrations and hands-on experimentation, participants will create their own compositions using leaves, flowers and other materials, exploring how shape, layering and placement can influence the final design. Using sunlight to expose their artwork, they will witness the transformation of everyday objects into unique printed images.

Along the way, participants will gain insight into the creative possibilities of cyanotype, a process celebrated for its rich blue tones and organic, expressive qualities. Suitable for beginners and curious makers alike, this workshop encourages experimentation, creativity and play while offering an accessible introduction to a unique form of printmaking.
