CVU - Sustainable Urbanism: Australia's need for adaptive reuse

The Council on Vertical Urbanism (CVU), is excited to host an event that delves into how our cities can better address the housing crisis. With office vacancies on the rise and housing demand at an all-time high, adaptive reuse is often touted as a solution, though it comes with its own set of challenges.
The event will commence with Ingrid Bakker presenting Hassell's latest research and thinking on office conversions. Then Natalie Boston from Shape will present a real-life case study from their recent successful completion of a project on Bourke Street. This will be followed by a panel discussion, featuring Sarah Slattery of Slattery and Malin Lindblad from Mott MacDonald as Moderator, who will explore the potential, challenges, and future of adaptive reuse in Australian urban centres.
After the panel, guests are invited to continue the conversation at a networking event, complete with drinks and light refreshments.
