Our mere existence is deserving of constant awe, but we forget.
How does movement, dance and befriending our body help to enliven us and awaken joy and awe in a way that changes how we experience life and the world? How does it help us to be more truly our selves, and better able to relate deeply with others from a place of authenticity? And importantly, how can we nurture a sense of calm abiding joy at the centre of our being even when we are dealing with suffering, or the simple challenges of daily life?
This immersive course introduces the practices of dance therapy and movement medicine to provide professional individual and group therapy and dance therapy. The individual work allows us to work with the unique strengths and needs of each person. The group work, provides a strong circle that supports the unique development of each participant. The community created is powerful, non-judgmental, challenging, and compassionate.
You will develop ways to:
• Befriend and inhabit your body so that this becomes a powerful source of ongoing resource for you;
• Cultivate self-compassion and gratitude
• Recognise stress responses and learn to bring yourself to a feeling of safety and openness to connection;
• Expand your capacity to experience awe in everyday life through attention, an expansive lens, historic perspective, and reflection;
• Develop the skills to counter the negativity bias and cultivate joy, through the process of self-directed neuroplasticity;
• Use focus and attention to be in constant conversation with joy so the beauty of the world starts to come alive again.
Throughout your journey you will be supported to develop your individualised plan with practices that are specifically designed to support you.

-1 in person Group Weekend
-I follow-up in Person Group Full Day
-2 zoom Individual Psychotherapy Sessions
-I zoom preparation group session
-Individualised program

Audra Micallef is a registered psychotherapist, supervisor, dance movement therapist and movement medicine teacher, and a certified provider of psychedelics-assisted-psychotherapy.
