Cultivating Community - Free Support Group for Black Women 35+
About this Event
Come join us for conversation, compassion and connection!
You’re invited to join our free in-person support group designed for Black Women ages 35+.
Come share in a safe space where Black women 35+ can connect, share stories, and uplift each other in a supportive environment.
Join us as we share experiences, insight, and information that helps us grow, laugh, and build meaningful connections!
This gathering will be held on Saturday, June 27th, 2026 at Severna Park Library 45 W McKinsey Rd, Severna Park, MD 21146 from 12:30 pm - 3:30pm
Facilitated by April Latson, LCSW-C, CCTP, founder of Healing Every Root Wellness Center, this 3 hour meet offers a safe, nurturing, and non-therapeutic space for reflection, connection, and restoration.
Together, we’ll explore:
- How to prioritize self-care and wellness, even in challenging times
- Ways to build and maintain community that feels authentic and safe
- Tools for communicating needs and boundaries in relationships
- And more conversations that honor the whole of who we are
Lunch will be provided, and space is limited to 25 participants to encourage genuine connection and conversation.
Come as you are. Leave with a fuller heart, deeper connection, and renewed clarity about what community means for you.
