The 280th anniversary commemoration of the Battle of Culloden is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2026, featuring the annual service organized by the Gaelic Society of Inverness at 11:00 AM at the Culloden Battlefield memorial cairn. A procession from the visitor center usually begins at 10:30 AM, with the ceremony honoring fallen soldiers.
Organized by The Gaelic Society of Inverness in conjunction with the National Trust for Scotland.
Many members of the MacMhuirich (Currie) Kindred from South Uist were engaged in battle alongside the MacDonalds of Clanranald.
