The Teen Caregivers Breakfast is the opening event of the Military Child World Expo’s three-day celebration in Arlington, Virginia the emerging Home of the Military Child.
This national gathering honors TEENS who quietly serve at home supporting parents, siblings, and family members while balancing school, mobility, and the responsibilities of growing up in military-connected families.
This year’s Breakfast marks the official national launch of:
The Torch of Care Community Service Hours (TCCSH)
A first-of-its-kind verified civic recognition initiative that acknowledges teen caregiving as leadership, contribution, and service.

Teen caregivers represent one of the most invisible forms of service within military families. The TCCSH initiative institutionalizes acknowledgment of that contribution.
This Breakfast is not simply a meal.
It is a national recognition moment.

The Teen Caregivers Breakfast opens the Military Child World Expo weekend:
• April 18 – Teen Caregivers Breakfast held at the Army Navy Country Club, 1700 Army Navy Dr., Arlington, Virginia 22202. From 8AM - 12PM. (Must RSVP send your request to [email protected], Subject Line: RSVP). This event is free while space remains. All Teens must be accompanied by one parent/guardian)
• April 25 – Military Child World Expo (Education, STEM4THEM Digital Learning Lab, Friends of Arlington Planetarium, DIY “Wear Your Gear” Day, Exhibitors & Youth Programming, symposiums and so much more!) This event is open to the public and entry is free. Held at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City, 2799 Richmond Hwy, Arlington, Virginia 22202. From 10 AM - 6 PM
• April 26 – America’s Torchbearers Showcase held at Fashion Centre at Pentagon City, 1100 South Hayes Dr., Arlington, Virginia 22202. From 12PM - 4PM
