Friday, February 21, we’re uniting with Bassiani and Supersanity to deliver an unequivocal night of darkness and pounding legendary sound. We don’t need to say more: this is a must for anyone who's into techno.
Dubbed the Georgian Berghain, Bassiani is a flagship barer both in terms of electronic music, etiquette and activism. With its 1200ish people capacity and a massive disused swimming pool serving as main dancefloor, its selective admissions, no photo policy and liberal views, long hours and outstanding sets, it is not hard to imagine how it gained its reputation from the get-go. Moreover, they stand true to the roots of rave culture: unity, solidarity, freedom of expression, and haven’t steered away to fully stand up for these, consistently supporting Georgia’s hard fight for democracy. We are excited to have two of their HOROOM residents join us - in sound and spirit - for this night.

Kvanchi’s life, as is the case of many, was changed by his early interest in music — which became his life path. Influenced by the sounds of Detroit, Chicago and New York, he seeks to communicate distinct emotions to the crowd in different situations, while not losing the senses of freshness and environment.

HVL a.k.a Gigi Jikia has become a leading voice of the thriving techno movement centered around Tbilisi club scene since 2013. Exploring diverse ranges of music, his releases have appeared on outposts like Bassiani Records, Rough House Rosie, Tabernacle Records and Organic Analogue, centering on house and techno with a noticeably understated mood. His skillfully crafted live shows and DJ sets took him to some of the world’s best dancefloors, from Berghain to Ibiza, and the infamous Berlin Atonal.

It couldn’t be more fitting but to welcome them with the support of Ada Kaleh of Supersanity and Thomas Rob of Sqweez, two of the most active techno local communities. Expect them to create an aural safe space in which to explore, dig through hypnotics and allow the crowd to be guided by the grooves.
