About this Event

Join Crystal Palace Park Trust and RSPB Local Group Bromley for an early morning stroll:

  • enjoy a spring walk
  • explore the Park's beautiful surroundings
  • discover the wildlife that calls the park home

Starting at 08:30am from the Guy the Gorilla statue, near Penge Gate and the Brown and Green Life cafe. Advance booking is essential as places are limited


About Bromley Local Group:

We are a friendly membership group bringing people together to enjoy and learn about wildlife with our monthly programme of entertaining talks, free local walks and day trips to the best nature reserves. We also run a project to save Bromley’s endangered swifts.

Event and Access information:

  • Suitable for all ages. Anyone 16 years or younger must be accompanied by an adult.
  • This walk will last up to 1.5 hours
  • We will stick to paths where possible but there will be times when the ground is uneven, muddy or wet.
  • There may be stairs at a couple of points on the walk.
  • Meeting point is at the Guy the Gorilla statue, near Brown and Green Life cafe at the Penge side of the Park.
  • Please wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for the weather - bring an umbrella, waterproof jacket, suncream and a bottle of water with you.
  • Please arrive at least five minutes before the walk begins to ensure you get signed in before we set off
  • Toilets are available near the meeting point, including an accessible unit and a Changing Places facility
  • We'd be pleased to chat about access requirements or how we can best help you to take part in the walk: please email us.

Photography:

  • This event will be photographed. We will use photographs to provide evidence to our funders and for marketing purposes, to help demonstrate our events. Please let us know if you want to opt out. We will offer you a sticker on the day so we can make sure you’re not in photos.
