Join us for a relaxing and fascinating exploration of Painshill, one of Britain's finest and most celebrated 18th-century landscape gardens.

Created by Charles Hamilton as a "living painting", Painshill was designed to be experienced as a journey through a series of carefully crafted scenes, where every path reveals a new view, surprise, or architectural feature. Often described as a masterpiece of garden design, it is regarded as one of the finest examples of the English Landscape Movement.

During our leisurely 3–4 hour walk around the 158-acre landscape, we'll discover tranquil lakes, woodland paths, elegant bridges, sweeping vistas, and many of Painshill's famous follies. Highlights include the magical Crystal Grotto, Gothic Temple, Ruined Abbey, Turkish Tent, vineyard, and the beautiful Serpentine Lake.

This is a social and scenic exploration rather than a strenuous hike, with plenty of opportunities to admire the landscape, take photographs, learn about the garden's fascinating history, and enjoy the company of fellow outdoor enthusiasts.

Location: London Waterloo Rail Station next to WH Smith , opposite to Platform 9 & 10

Depart: Meet us 10:00 am, we leave 10:15 am for 10:33 am train

Return: 06:07 pm Back in London (commitment required until then).
