Since combining breakbeats, field recordings of Brighton and the 19th century words of Lord Byron on ‘Music On The Water’ in May 2021, Alien Alarms have released music on the Patchworks, Stresshead and Spirit Of Gravity labels, played live across the UK, received airplay on Codesouth.FM, Resonance Extra, Radio Reverb, BBC Radio Wales and were played on BBC Radio 6 Music by Tom Robinson who described the music as “continuing to push the envelope”.
The new Alien Alarms album ‘Utopia Or Dystopia?’ collects visions of hope and despair from history, philosophy, fiction and activism alongside performances by exciting new jazz and classical players and prog rock legends, orchestral and breakbeat samples, found sounds, analogue synths and custom made software and will be available on CD and as a digital download from https://alienalarms.bandcamp.com/ and via all major streaming services on October 4th.

PERRY FRANK

Perry Frank is an Ambient, Post-Rock, Acoustic and Psychedelic Music Project started in 2005, as a one man band, by the Sardinian musician Francesco Perra.
The unique sound of Perry Frank is based on guitar, synth, tape loops and soundscapes that create imaginary and dreamy textures on which arpeggios and melodies move with a timeless and spaceless feeling.
Perry Frank's music is influenced by Basinski, Brian Eno, Boards of Canada, Fennesz, Tycho, Bonobo, Robin Guthrie and Harold Budd.
He released six albums MUSIC TO DISAPPEAR (Idealmusik 2012), THE NEPTUNE SESSIONS (Clubland Records 2013), SOUNDSCAPE BOX 1 (Tranquillo Records 2014), REVERIE (Dynamo Tapes 2020), SELVASCAPES (Lauge, Valley View Records 2021) and NUIT ENSEMBLE (Valley View Records 2022). In addition to this body of work he has several singles and EPs in his back catalogue alongside several performance and experimental side-projects.
In 2024 he released two EPs VANISHING, with Crows Labyrinth, published by French label Mare Nostrum and SHORES OF SILENCE, with We Dream Of Eden, by VVR.

MINUS RF STAR
Minus RF Star (in computer speak "-rf *"), means "include everything". The influences are wide taking in Steve Reich, Charlie Parker, Plaid, A Winged Victory for the Sullen, but the music's roots are in the early 90s live techno scene, Club Dog and squat parties, muddy fields and Orbital's Brown Album, all nighters with PWOG and Aphex Twin - a time before genres crystalized and became impenetrable barriers. Ian Jury said "Every bit of clothing ought to make you pretty". Minus RF Star says every bit of music ought to be a hook. No passengers, no starch, all flavour. Sounds, beats, tunes, harmony, include everything.
Minus RF Star is the project of Ab Wilson who in previous lives has been a jobbing bassist playing jazz, trip hop, blue grass, new folk, you name it, and modular synthesist using the Roland System 100M but progressing onto virtual modulars - Reaktor and Nord. He also curates the monthly Super Noodles EMOM.

L’AUBAINE (with Perry Frank)

’Aubaine (Laurie Bender) is a visual artist and performer from Geneva (CH), based in London. For over 15 years, she has been exploring the interconnection between real-time visuals and sound, projections into the spatial dimension, as well as different narrative forms.
She performed in many set ups from underground raves, club nights to big festivals in UK and continental Europe, as a live visual artist and professional VJ. She’s been adding real-time and audioreactive visuals to electronic music (DJ sets and live acts), in Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Boomtown, Le Zoo/Usine (CH), Splice festival (London), E1 club, Outernet, Manchester Pride, Art Vision VJ contest (Moscow), Visual Brasil (ES), etc. She also been VJing for big shows and club nights using provided content such as Partiboi69 (Printworks, 2022), Or:la (Sonar Festival, 2022).
She brings you on a seamless visual journey, creating composition live like a painter on her canvas. Organic, graphical, abstract or figurative, she crafted her unique style over the years, mixing self-produced content, using analogue and digital techniques, 2D, 3D, hand-drawn animations, motion graphics, and footages. She also perform analogue visuals set with video synths and video mixer.
In her AV performances and narrative projects, she expresses socio/politics/psychological concerns and often collaborates with a producer/DJ or musician for the audio aspect.
