Cross Cultural Communications Training - VCSE Carers Network

Who is it for?

Leadership, staff and volunteers from organisations in the VCSE Carers Network and any other relevant local organisations.

What’s the time commitment and group size?

The topic is best delivered in smaller groups, face to face, with a lot of practical discussions and group work. The session is aimed at 30-40 participants. The training takes half a day with a break for nurturing refreshments.

Objectives:

To unlock the power of effective communication by discovering strategies to overcome barriers faced by culturally and ethnically diverse communities, ensuring everone's voice is heard and undertood.
To champion best practices and take meaningful action to break down communication barriers, enhancing inclusivity and connection.

Trainers and Facilitators:

Dr Yaa: With many years of experience as an equality trainer, Dr Yaa is a researcher and consultant specialising in issues of racial and cultural diversity.

Mebrak Ghebreweldi: Mebrak is a social entrepreneur, a well-regarded public speaker, facilitator, business start-up mentor and coach, providing research, executive coaching, business management and leadership training to cross sector organisations in the UK and Africa.
