Learn how to crochet colourful flowers using simple stitches and yarn scraps. Improve your crochet skills and let your creativity bloom!
About this Event

Join us for a relaxed, creative afternoon of crochet flower making. Perfect for those who already know the basics of crochet and want to build confidence while creating something beautiful.

Crochet flowers add colour and fun to textiles, clothes and accessories. You can revive old, worn clothing using crochet flowers to cover moth holes or hide stains.

The simple, repetitive patterns make for mindful crafting and individual flowers are a great way to use up leftover yarn!

Beginners who attend our Crochet for Beginners workshop in the morning, and are able to master the basics, are welcome to join this workshop in the afternoon.

You will learn how to make a simple forget-me-not flower, a small leaf and a flower garland. You will also have the opportunity to make a poppy if time permits, or take the yarns and instructions with you to make one at home.

We will provide:

  • all hooks and yarns
  • guided step-by-step instructions
  • hot drinks and biscuits

Feel free to bring

  • a pair of scissors
  • 2.5-3.5mm crochet hooks if you have them (we have plenty to share)
  • 4 ply cotton yarn if you have any you'd like to use (we have plenty to share)
