Crochet Club

Join our kid-friendly small group introduction to crochet class this winter! Created for you or your family members first time picking up a crochet hook, we've got a lineup of fun projects to make while receiving individualized attention. Over our three weeks together, you will learn the 5 most common crochet stitches and use them to create a bracelet, curly worm and pocket pet/monster. Our participants will start each of the projects in class and then take them home to practice. All materials including choose-your-own-color beginner yarn are provided so you just need to bring yourself! Please reach out to [email protected] if you have any questions.
In class one, we will learn the basics of crochet: how to hold and use a hook, how to make a slip knot, how to chain stitch, and how to single crochet stitch. These skills are the foundations for scarves and blankets. In class two, we will expand upon the single crochet stitch pattern and learn how to increase and form rows. We will also start to read written patterns furthering your 2D crochet knowledge. In class three, we will combine the skills learned to crochet a pocket pet or monster. These skills provide a strong foundation for continuing on to more challenging crochet classes and projects.
