There's lots in store at the Crich Share & Repair Café on Saturday, 23 November 2024!The Repair Shop volunteers are eager to share their expertise with you. They can sharpen your garden tools before winter storage, fix household items, electrical appliances, bicycles, toys, and mend clothes or textiles. Repairs are free of charge, but donations are appreciated.
In addition, there are various stalls to explore, including Marches Energy Agency, offering advice on home energy savings and keeping warm this winter; Appletree and Avalon with their sustainable gift shop; Crich Crafters; Crich Seed Swap, providing gardening tips; and a chance to chat with Clare Limb, Crich Creative Agent, to share your ideas for community activities.
Just in time for Christmas, bring your pre-loved toys to swap for something new at the Derbyshire Toy Libraries Toy Swap. There will be fun activities for children, along with our café serving delightful homemade treats, soup, and freshly brewed coffee, tea, and cold drinks.
In partnership with Hidden Potential CIC, we are also collecting hard-to-recycle items for their blue bag scheme, including Tetra Paks, medicine blister packs, batteries, and NEW for November, your ink toner cartridges.
We are also collecting your unwanted jewellery on behalf of Crich Youth Club, who will be selling them to raise funds; and your unwanted hand and DIY electrical tools, which are refurbished to make boxed kits for small businesses in Africa by Tools for Self Reliance in Bakewell.
