About this Event

This is a one of a kind Halloween experience, where eerie sophistication meets nocturnal opulence.

The Whoopee Club is back at the prestigious Detroit Club for a haunting evening of live jazz, burlesque and fiendish delights.

Our host, the ever so charming and usually well kept Charlie Champagne, is not quite himself. It appears he’s been possessed. Expect creepy, kooky and bone shaking ballads, old school Halloween standards and other strange sounds from Charlie and the spookiest jazz cats around, The Whoopee Cushions.

Co-host and burlesque sensation Roxi D’Lite will mesmerize with sinfully enchanting burlesque, while our cast of variety performers twist, contort, balance and juggle their way through the night.

Keeping this whole haunted mess from getting completely out of hand is our Housecreeping pinup star Noelle Nurmi, dutifully tidying up discarded costumes, suspicious spills and the occasional unexplained pool of blood. Someone has to do it, and she looks great doing it!

Creepshow Cabaret conjures the glamour of an Old Hollywood nightclub with a deliciously haunted twist. Live jazz is the soundtrack to the entire production as burlesque, circus, comedy and variety unfold seamlessly throughout the evening. Each act flows into the next, creating a continuous night of top notch entertainment filled with thrills, chills, glamour and plenty of surprises.

Inspired by the golden age of supper clubs, glamorous nightclubs and classic variety shows, The Whoopee Club creates an immersive evening where the music, performances and atmosphere are all part of the show. Dress up, order a cocktail and settle in for a night that gets stranger as it goes.

Costumes are HIGHLY encouraged, and we’ll be awarding a prize for the best dressed creature of the night.

Come for the show, but stay to rattle your bones at The Detroit Club’s after party with DJ On Time Tello, spinning until midnight. When the clock strikes twelve, we’ll send you back into the night with your bones rattled, your spirits raised and hopefully all your limbs still attached.
