Jessica Care Moore is Detroit’s Poet Laureate and an award-winning poet, recording artist, publisher, activist, and filmmaker. A five-time Showtime at the Apollo winner, her work has graced stages from Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center to the Apollo Theater and is featured in the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. She has collaborated with cultural icons including Nas, Common, Talib Kweli, Jeff Mills, Roy Ayers and The Last Poets, while championing generations of artists through Moore Black Press and Black WOMEN Rock!
