About this Event
Did you know that studying the critters in our streams can tell us a lot about the health of our waterways? Join us as we explore Kreutz Creek at Ingrid Graham Historic Hellam Nature Preserve. We will wade into the creek and flip rocks to see who is living under them, net some fish, and learn about stream ecology and the importance of keeping water clean.
What to Expect and How to Prepare: We will meet at the barn at the Ingrid Graham Historic Hellam Nature Preserve and walk a short distance to Kreutz Creek. Come ready to get wet and maybe muddy. Wear shoes that stay on feet and can get wet (old sneakers are the best). Bring drinking water. Recommended for ages 5 and up (attendees under age 18 must come with a responsible adult). Each person needs a ticket for this event. There are restrooms on site.
Note: The preserve remains closed to general visitation while the Conservancy develops a management plan for the preserve, although it is open for select education events.
Animal Policy: Service animals active or in training are welcome. Please leave all pets at home.
Refund Policy: If you are unable to attend this event after purchasing a ticket, refund requests must be made at least 48 hours before the event.
Cancellation Policy: This event will be held rain or shine, with cancellation decided at the time of the event for severe weather. If the Conservancy reschedules the event, attendees will be emailed, and tickets will be automatically moved to the new date. If the Conservancy cancels the event, attendees will be notified via email and refunded.
