Prepare for an adventure into freeing your creativity and feeling more aligned and connected during this 4 day/3 night all inclusive retreat.
HOW WILL WE INSPIRE CREATIVITY?
All around us in the natural world there exist an abundance of creative processes. A magnificent and divine intelligence that shapes the living world from the unfolding geometry of our favorite flowers to the spiraling branches of the galaxies strewn across the universe. Human beings are indeed a part of this magnificent and intelligent set of relationships that shape the world as we know it.
Unfortunately, we have grown distant and removed from these beautiful processes, but throughout this retreat we will seek inspiration at one of the thresholds where humanity HAS to engage with these creative processes in order to survive: The Farm.
From the animals that graze the land, to the wild flowers that grow in the meadows, or the vegetables cultivated in the fields, and all the supporting cast of forest, streams, and rivers we will truly observe this beautiful land and draw inspiration from it. (literally and figuratively).
ACTIVITIES TO DEVELOP CURIOSITY
Each participant will receive their own journal and mark making tools to use during the retreat. Our program sessions have been tailored to guide you through the basics of visual journaling, but technical proficiency in mark-making is not the goal. This is why we have paired each of our sessions with movement and meditation to liberate the body and mind from blocking the natural creative processes within us. These sessions will develop not only a curiosity for the outer world, but also reveal a deep desire to explore the inner depths of our being which is the source of all creativity. The journals will be yours to take home and serve as a space to continually develop curiosity and creativity as we engage the world and ourselves. It is our hope that these sessions will serve as an aid to the unfolding relationship between the self and the whole and reveal creative potentials for service to the highest good of all.
HOW ARE WE GOING TO REIMAGINE OUR CONNECTION?
There will be ample opportunity to participate in both group and solo exploration of “learning to see nature” throughout the retreat, but it is through the pairings with movement and meditation that we can explore the depths of our creative processes and relink those findings to that in the natural world around us. It is our hope that these sessions will reveal to the participants a glimpse of our true inner nature and how it is profoundly connected to the people, creatures and land that support us.
ARTISANAL MEALS: TRULY FARM TO TABLE
Each meal will be prepared by the farmers who utilize prior cooking and catering experience to deliver expertly crafted dishes with the freshest and most delicious ingredients possible.
Meals will have vegetarian options.
CAMPING AT THE FARM AT CATAWISSA CREEK
The retreat will be held at this gorgeous farm located in Catawissa, PA; just 2 hours from New York City, Philadelphia and 10 minutes off I-80.
The farm is 130 acres of pristine woods, farmland and situated on the Catawissa Creek.
Lodgings options include furnished bell tents or guests can bring their own tent. Guests have access to gorgeous outdoor spaces with sweeping mountain views, covered common spaces in the barns, and private creek access for swimming. Facilities include fire pits, shower and outhouse.
