Military life demands resilience.Whether you're navigating deployments, training cycles, PCS moves, caregiving, or simply the pace of everyday life, it's easy to spend your time caring for everyone else.The Creative Wellness Series is a monthly opportunity for military-connected adults and older youth to step away from everyday stress, create something meaningful, and connect with others who understand the unique experiences of military life.Join us each month for a guided hands-on art project designed to encourage creative expression, reduce everyday stress, and foster meaningful connection in a relaxed, welcoming environment.No artistic experience is necessary—just come as you are.
What is the Creative Wellness Series?The Creative Wellness Series is a monthly opportunity to explore creativity in a supportive, community-centered environment.Each session features a guided hands-on art project facilitated by Sunflowers Wellness Therapeutic Services, PLLC. Projects are thoughtfully designed to encourage creative expression, reduce everyday stress, and create opportunities for connection.Every month features a different creative project, giving participants the opportunity to return throughout the series to learn new techniques, create something unique, and spend time with others in the military community.Whether you're picking up a paintbrush for the first time or have always enjoyed creating, you'll find a welcoming place to relax, recharge, and create something meaningful.
What to ExpectEach monthly session includes:A guided hands-on art projectAll project supplies providedA relaxed and welcoming atmosphereOpportunities for conversation and connectionA finished project to take homeLight refreshmentsCreate at your own pace.Some participants enjoy conversation throughout the project, while others simply enjoy the quiet experience of creating. Both are equally welcome.
Who Should Attend?The Creative Wellness Series is designed for military-connected adults and older youth (middle school age and up) across North Carolina.This includes:

• Active Duty Service Members
• National Guard and Reserve Members
• Veterans
• Military Spouses
• Military Caregivers
• Military-connected youth who are middle school age and older

Whether you've recently arrived in the Fort Bragg community or have called North Carolina home for years, you'll find a welcoming environment where creativity and community come together.

Age RecommendationThis program is designed primarily for adults and older youth (middle school age and up).Youth participants under the age of 18 must attend with a parent or guardian unless otherwise noted for a specific session.Projects are designed with teens and adults in mind and may involve detailed instruction and art techniques that are not well suited for younger children.

Cost
FREEThanks to the generous support of the Rick Herrema Foundation and community partners, there is no cost to participate.Registration is required because project materials are prepared specifically for registered participants and space is limited.
What Should I Bring?Just yourself!We'll provide all project materials and supplies.You may wish to bring:

• A water bottle
• A light sweater (our meeting spaces can be cool)
• An open mind and a willingness to create
