Join Lauren and Brandy on Friday, February 27th for a guided abstract painting experience designed especially for beginners—no rules, no pressure, just space to explore, experiment, and create something uniquely yours. The evening will begin with Lauren of Mindful Movement leading a few minutes of gentle, seated movement paired with guided prompts and reflections to help you settle in and spark inspiration.
From there, Brandy of Refined Vintage will guide you into the painting process. You’ll choose from a selection of pre-textured canvases; simply select the one that speaks to you and dive in. All painting supplies and a full range of colors are provided, with Brandy available to help mix custom hues to match your style or home.
This is a fun, relaxed night to sit, chat, sip, and enjoy the creative process; perfect to share with a friend or partner. PlayPals & Pizza will be available in PLAY Muskegon for children at $15/kid.

About your Guides:
Lauren is PLAY Muskegon’s resident dance and yoga teacher for the littles and deeply understands the importance of having a creative outlet. As a full-time yoga and dance instructor and mom of one kiddo, she knows that carving out time for yourself can be a challenge. Lauren looks forward to holding space for anyone seeking connection, creativity, or a moment to breathe. Whether you’re a parent or not, this experience offers a chance to slow down, tune in, and reconnect with your creative intuition.
Brandy is the owner and creative force behind Refined Vintage. She has been creating art casually since high school, pausing for a few years to raise her three kiddos before recently rediscovering her passion for visual art. Alongside sourcing and curating for her business, Brandy now incorporates painting, sculpting, and drawing into her creative work. She believes creativity can ebb and flow through different seasons of life, and looks forward to encouraging others to explore art in a way that feels approachable, expressive, and deeply personal.
