Creative Health Summer School: Day 1
About this Event
London Arts and Health is the sector support organisation in London, working to support health and cultural workers across the capital.
Surveying our members we can see clearly that members want training and support around key areas in creative health to ensure they are building out programmes and projects that address health inequities and are equitable in delivery. We know that the sector faces difficulties with funding, evaluation and also relationships with ever-changing health systems. Supporting freelancers, creative health workers and health colleagues advocating for this work is important and timely.
Our summer intensive will bring together 25 members a day to engage in four key themes across the creative health sector, with the aim to expand our member’s knowledge, connect members together with each other and inspire and spark new ideas in creative health.
Partnering with Royal Albert Hall gives our members a beautiful space to learn in, whilst also being underpinned by the Hall’s commitment to creative health in their work.
About Day 1 of Creative Health Summer School:
Putting the Health in Creative Health, with Gay Palmer and Dr Katie Rose Sanfilippo.
What makes up the ‘health’ in Creative Health? What might be considerations needed as a practitioner in the field, how might we access health literature when developing projects and what might be appropriate approaches when thinking for example about evaluating participants? Furthermore, how can we work to consider our creative health practice in the context of social prescribing across London?
Join Katie and Gay to interrogate the health parts of creative health and reflect on how this might be useful in your own developing practices.
