Creative Banners for Ruskin Artweeks Exhibition

This will be a course to plan banners in the Rukin tradition. As you walk into the college you will see old photographs of previous students who wanted to change their world. They made banners and fought for a fairer world.  The finished pieces will be displayed in the Oxfordshire Mat Art weeks on location at Ruskin College.

Topics covered:

1. Planning banners through visual drawings.
2. Choosing the right materials to create appliques. 
3. Using sewing techniques and available machines.
4. How to display the work effectively. 

Eligibility criteria:

Any students who have been on previous courses, and new students. This is about Ruskin Students achievements.
