Celebrate Bee Day - indoor-outdoor workshop for ages 5-9 & adult. We’re buzzing about World Bee Day at Nature Club this May! Bees are good for the garden and the planet – join Oxfordshire Beekeepers Association for a ‘hive’ of activities and meet their bees in our Forest School area. Get creative in the workshop space, and roll your own Bee-autiful beeswax candle to take home. Play our fun bee games to learn about nature’s ecosystem, and investigate plants and pollinators out in the meadow. Spot your honey, solitary, bumble or carpenter with an ID guide, and build your own bee-hotel at home with our Bee-rilliant take-away activity sheets!What is included in your ticket:
90 minute club session for one child and accompanying adult
Access to:
- Access to the woodland and outdoor areas (inlcuding the Water Lab, bring a change of clothes) from 10am–5pm (last entry 4.30pm)
- Cafe 10am - 4pm
- Parking (limited availability)
What is NOT included:
- Access to the Exploration Zone
Event Details
Club sessions must be accompanied by an adult. These family workshops are designed for you and your child to learn from each other and work together while trying out new things.
Nature Club is usually held in our workshop space, with some outdoor activities in most sessions, weather permitting. Explore the natural world in different ways each month, where you will be making the most of the beautiful surroundings at the Science Oxford Centre. With ponds, woodlands and meadows on our doorstep, children can explore and investigate the plants and animals that live alongside us, discover the simple beauty of natural objects and learn how everything in an ecosystem is interconnected.

Suitable for ages 5-9 (accompanied by an adult)
£10 per club ticket (includes Eventbrite booking fee)
One child and accompanying adult
If you cannot attend, you can request a refund or transfer your ticket to another day yourself via Eventbrite.
The Café is open 10am - 4pm. Families are welcome to bring picnics and snacks to eat at our lunch tables.
