Iain Abernethy and Mary Stevens invite you to a unique seminar which will guide attendees through the process of CREATING kata! Whist the traditional kata have much to teach us, there are aspects they do not cover. It is for this reason that Iain has created modern kata for solo pad-drills, the methods of Choki Motobu and ground fighting. Likewise, Mary has created a kata specifically to address female self-defense methods. This seminar is not about learning these kata (although they will be referenced and shown), but giving those in attendance the skills and understanding needed to create functional kata of their own. Such kata can be used for solo training specific skills, your own personal self-defense kata, to help you improve weak areas, and so on. Above all, understanding the kata creation process will give insights that will drastically increase your appreciation of the traditional kata. This one-of-a-kind seminar is not to be missed!Price: £40
