Creating Healthier Communities: Deepening Collaboration
About this Event
This community-university event brings together partners from across sectors to strengthen relationships, spark new ideas, and explore opportunities to improve health and well-being in Guelph-Wellington communities.
The morning will begin with a light breakfast, offering a welcoming space for informal connection over coffee and conversation. Attendees will have time to engage with poster displays showcasing innovative community initiatives and University of Guelph research, alongside open networking opportunities and a door prize draw.
The program will feature a keynote presentation, setting the stage for deeper reflection on how cross-sector partnerships can address complex health and social challenges. This will be followed by a short panel discussion examining how collaboration is currently happening across community and academic settings, and how these partnerships can be strengthened and expanded.
The event will include time for participant networking, designed to encourage meaningful connections, shared learning, and dialogue around pressing community issues.
This community–university event is a collaborative effort between Toward Common Ground, the Guelph-Wellington Ontario Health Team, the Guelph Community Health Centre, and the University of Guelph’s Community Engaged Scholarship Institute and Research Innovation Office.
