Crafting Herbal Remedies with Kitchen Herbs for Seasonal Wellness
About this Event
Let’s explore kitchen herbs! We’ll discover ways to use these plants commonly found in home gardens, farmer’s markets, and grocery stores in unique preparations for overall wellbeing. While many of these herbs are often used for culinary purposes, together we’ll take a deep dive into their medicinal and spiritual properties along with creative applications to incorporate into daily life. We’ll feature easily accessible ingredients like honey, oil, and vinegar to take home and enjoy. This in-person workshop will be hosted in the cafe of our Ambler store and is free to all community members. All levels of experience are welcome! All attendees will receive a coupon to shop at the co-op after the workshop.
This workshop is hosted by Simone Davis, an herbalist, gardener, educator, and founder of Nommo Apothecary. As a clinical herbalist of 9 years, she has run a Brooklyn Apothecary for 3 years and oversees a free Community Herb Clinic. Simone also joined the Co-op as Outreach Coordinator this past early Spring after relocating to Philly from New York.
