Join Courtney Sliga and Sonja Herington for another craft and sound event, Friday, January 23 ~ 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. ~ at Wood Haven Healing Home and Retreat Center and make your very own Prayer/Smudge Fan!It is said that prayer fans represent a gift that can heal the heart making them very popular as smudging fans. It is believed that a prayer fan has considerable healing power and will dispatch a prayer to the heavens.
Prayer/Smudge Fans are tools for cleansing your sacred space or person.
Smudging is a ceremony that involves the burning of sacred herbs, wood, or resins for spiritual cleansing and blessings.
We will have various feathers to choose from, but if you have a personal feather that you would like to add to your fan, please feel free to bring it!
Cost includes craft supplies and 45 minute sound meditation. Space is limited to 12 participants. Pre-registration required. $48.00/person.
