January 21: 9am - 4pm the Museum will be hosting Coverlet Specialist (Emily Barth) during the day (alongside several other museums) to document coverlets! We are encouraging our local community to attend during the day -- Call Elaine Shirley to reserve a time slot -- to come out and document your coverlet(s).
To attend during the day is free--just remember to call 410-386-3887 and talk to our Curator, Elaine, to reserve a timeslot for you & your coverlets.
Not sure you have a coverlet? Coverlets are woven bedcovers, used as the topmost covering on a bed. The weaver worked on a loom to construct the textile itself one row at a time, and the pattern was woven in as part of the process. Does this sound like something you own? Then Coverlet Day might just be a thing for you to do.
Space is limited. Reserve a timeslot for your coverlet at 410-386-3887
Want even more coverlet info? Check out our Nibbles at Night event later on that day ($15 per person).
