About this Event

Cory Doctorow — whose 2025 bestseller, Enshittification: Why Everything Suddenly Got Worse and What To Do About It, coined a term (enshittification) that has defined the way many people see our current world — is back with a new take on our technological future that musician and cultural giant Brian Eno calls “stunning in its clarity and breadth of vision.” The Reverse Centaur’s Guide to Life After A.I. chronicles the hype about the world-changing disruption that is artificial intelligence, how we got here and how we can get to a place where A.I. works for us, not the other way around.

Join us on June 25 at Fitler Club's Ballroom — Doctorow will be in conversation with David Williams, Philadelphia-based writer and consultant focused on how artificial intelligence is reshaping media, business, and human understanding. He publishes A Short Distance Ahead, a Substack series tracing the history of artificial intelligence through 75 sequential essays — one year at a time, from 1950 to the present.
