On Saturday 8 August 2026, Witchskull, Pod People and Melbourne death metal crushers Black Jesus hit Gang Gang Café, Downer for a night built for ACT heavy music diehards.
This is a special one: Pod People and Witchskull are still the only two Australian bands to have released albums through Lee Dorrian’s Rise Above Records UK — the storied doom/heavy label linked to Cathedral, Electric Wizard, Orange Goblin, Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats, Church of Misery, Ghost, SUNN O))) and more.
And now, for the first time, these two Canberra doom forces share a bill together on home soil.
