The Cornbelt Classic Lift Off is a high-energy Olympic weightlifting competition designed for athletes of all levels—whether it’s your first meet or you’re chasing a big total. The event focuses on the two competition lifts: the Snatch and the Clean & Jerk, following a structured, athlete-friendly format.

Each athlete will compete in both lifts:

Snatch

• 3 attempts to establish a 1-rep max
• Must declare opening weight prior to the start of the session
• Weight can increase or stay the same, but cannot decrease after a successful lift

Clean & Jerk

• 3 attempts to establish a 1-rep max
• Same rules apply as the snatch for attempt selection

Your best successful Snatch and best successful Clean & Jerk will be combined to create your Total.

• If an athlete successfully makes all 3 attempts in a lift (Snatch or Clean & Jerk), they earn a 4th attempt in that lift
• The 4th attempt is optional and must be heavier than the previous successful lift
• This is your chance to take a big swing and separate yourself from the field

This is a relative strength competition, meaning strength is measured against body weight.

• Final Score = Total (Snatch + Clean & Jerk) ÷ Body Weight
• Athletes will be ranked based on this calculated score

At the end of the event, we will crown:

• Top Male Lifter
• Top Female Lifter

• Athletes will weigh in prior to the start of the competition
• Body weight recorded at weigh-in will be used to calculate final scores

• No singlets required
• Athletes may wear typical training gear (shorts, t-shirt/tank, etc.)
• Weightlifting shoes, belts, sleeves, and wrist wraps are all allowed

• First-time lifters looking to experience competition
• CrossFit athletes wanting to test their lifts
• Competitive weightlifters chasing numbers in a fun, fast-paced environment
