What a lineup we have for the 4th Anniversary of Cooter Comedy, coming this Cootertober!
Carmen Vallone, our Headliner, is a crowd favorite here at The Valerie and we are thrill to have him back on our stage. With his enthusiastic smile, and happily twisted vision of everyday life, Carmen guides you through a night of entertainment as he talks about being from Upstate New York, living in Florida, and what life is like on the road. Never one to attack the audience, Carmen makes you feel right at home, and you’ll never be scared to sit in the front row. In his twelve years of comedy, Carmen has been so many places and performed on so many stages, you might think he has been doing comedy for thirteen years. He has been night clubbing with Bob Saget, he has enjoyed champagne with Joan Rivers, and he went to a BBQ with Jim Carrey. You might have seen Carmen on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, CBS’s Comedy Night School, or Jamie Kennedy’s “Heckler” movie, but probably not. In addition to doing stand-up, Carmen is also the host and producer of “A Joke Off ! ! !™”. A nationally touring comedy competition, currently in development for national TV.
Our featured comedian is Joe Latham. Having worked with the BBC and MTV, developing comedy scripts, sketches, and full seasons of TV shows in Europe, Joe understands audiences all over the world and finds a way of relating to them with his material stage presence you probably would expect from your typical English gent. Joe moved to the US to start a family 10 years ago (he could not find a girlfriend in the UK) leaving the London lifestyle behind. The act writes itself from there, with comparisons and observations since his move 'across the pond' offering a perspective many audiences did not know they needed. Currently making a name for himself in comedy in the US, Joe reached the final Florida’s Funniest Comedian in 2022 (top 10).

Opening the show is Fasil Malik. Born in NYC, raised in New Jersey, Fasil moved to Miami to work on his tan (and his comedy). He's earned some serious creds over the years, including becoming the 2016 Inaugural Coral Gables Comedy Festival Winner, a 2017 Inaugural Coconut Grove Comedy Festival Winner, a Semi-Finalist for the 2014 Florida’s Funniest Comedian Contest, a 2018 top 101 World Series of Comedy Comics in the Country, a three-time finalist for the 2015, 2017 and 2019 Ultimate Miami Comedian Contest and The Bash Best of 2022 Award.
