Cooking Workshop with Diline Abushaban

About this Event
Join us in store on Saturday the 19th of September to learn to make your own Ma'moul. Ma'moul is a traditional Middle Eastern shortbread cookie made with a dough of semolina or flour, butter or ghee. They are stuffed with sweet fillings like date paste or chopped nuts and shaped using carved wooden molds.
We will be using date paste and chopped almonds to make an "awja" paste to be used in this demonstration.
Please bring an apron, a mixing bowl, a mixing spoon, and tupperware to bring your cookies home in. As Hadeel does not have an oven, your cookies will be cooked at home. Silverlining: bringing home the delicious smell of cookies baking!
Hadeel will provide all ingredients and a Ma'moul mold. Diline Abushaban will provide her excellent skills and soothing style of teaching.
All profits from this event will go to Palcrafts.
