About this Event

Welcome to Joyfull Greens – Cooking for Carers Series


Invest in your wellbeing. Take time for yourself and join our friendly cooking session designed especially for unpaid carers in Surrey.

This isn’t just a cooking class — it’s a chance to connect with others, learn healthy habits, and enjoy nourishing food. Together, we’ll create simple, wholesome dishes, in a friendly and supportive space.

No experience needed, and all ingredients are provided!



Who is this for?

Unpaid carers living in Surrey who want:

  • A friendly, interactive cooking session
  • Tips for nutritious, healthy, and affordable plant-based meals
  • A chance to recharge and share good food with others

What to expect?
  • Welcome drink & chat
  • Cook in pairs — enjoy the friendly flow of chopping and stirring together
  • Share and savour our creations as a group
  • Bring containers for leftovers to take home
  • Leave feeling energised, nourished, and inspired

Menu

Timing
  • 11:00 AM – Cooking begins
  • 12:30 PM – Shared meal
  • 1:00 PM – Clean-up
  • 1:30 PM – Finish

Venue

Denningberg Centre, Bridge Street, Godalming, GU7 1HP
Attached to the Godalming Borough Hall, Located across from Waitrose.

Buses: 42, 26, 70, 71, 72
(Towards Guildford) Bus Stop : Borough Hall -directly in front of the Denningberg Centre
(Towards Midhurst/Ockford Ridge/Farnham) Bus Stop: The Square -a 3 minute walk to the Denningberg Centre.

Easy train access - Godalming station 6-10 min walk

Parking: Crown Court car park is the closest long stay.

  • Inform us of any allergies on the order form
  • Important: This class uses induction hobs, which may interfere with pacemakers. If you have a pacemaker or similar medical device, please let us know in advance so we can make suitable arrangements.

Cancellations

If you can’t attend, please let us know as soon as possible. As a not‑for‑profit organisation running free sessions — we need to buy the right amount of food. Spaces are limited, and your courtesy helps another carer benefit from this session so that we can offer your place to someone

This class is funded by Surrey County Council. Places are limited to 12 and must be booked in advance. Please only attend if you’ve received a confirmation email.
