About this Event
Calling passionate home cooks, champions of ESEA cuisines and curious eaters!
In March we are spotlighting three fantastic cookbooks at our inaugural CookbookCon potluck.
First up is the Rangoon Sisters cookbook by Drs Emily and Amy Chung - a collection of family recipes that celebrate the incredible flavours found throughout Myanmar.
Next, we have both Pocha and Rice Table by Korean writer Su Scott, whose writing shows how food 'helps rebuild culture from treasured memories... conveys love and connection, and...can ground us when we feel untethered,' according to Tim Anderson.
Your assignment is to decide on a dish (or multiple!) to cook from these delicious books! On the day, you should arrive at the community centre with your dish freshly cooked and ready to serve. Due to the nature of the event, we cannot offer any food heating facilities, however, all crockery and cutlery will be provided.
Once you have bought you ticket, kindly await further instruction from the event organiser, which will be emailed a few days beforehand.
