Dive into a vibrant community of home cooks and cookbook lovers for a special afternoon celebrating food, fellowship, and flavor. Whether you're a seasoned chef or just starting your culinary journey, this event is perfect for you.
Cook. Swap. Repeat is dedicated to exploring Black-authored cookbooks. Our featured cookbook of the month is Our South: Black Food Through My Lens by Ashleigh Shanti, which can be purchased through Red Rice Books.
What to Expect:
Cook & Learn: Watch a live cooking demo by James Beard-nominated chef Daryl Cooper of Jimmy Pearls. You'll get to sample his delicious dish and ask him all of your burning cooking questions.
Shop & Swap: Explore the beautiful Deep Roots Farm with a guided farm tour and shop for fresh, seasonal produce at their farmstand. You can also browse, borrow, and swap cookbooks with fellow attendees. Bring at least two cookbooks you'd like to share! Red Rice Books will also be on-site with cookbooks and more for sale.
Connect & Repeat: This is your chance to meet new people, share your favorite recipes, and become a member of the Cook. Swap. Repeat. cookbook club!
