For anyone who wants to become a better cook, the best place to begin is KNIFE SKILLS! Chef Clara Park of eat cetera philly will teach you everything you need to know about knife skills from how to properly hold the knife, how to perform all the basic knife cuts and basic knife safety and etiquette. The class will cover small, medium and large dice, julienne, brunoise and fun cuts like obliques and paysanne. Students will have plenty of opportunity to perform and practice various knife cuts culminating in a poke bar at the end. We will cover how to properly slice an onion, garlic, herbs, bell peppers, cucumbers, proteins and avocados. Ticket price includes a chef knife which students will be able to take home.
