About this Event
Join us for an inspiring conversation about transformation, where Randell Adjei and Nisrine Maktabi will explore how adversity can fuel a journey toward a truly fulfilled life. Randell, Ontario’s first Poet Laureate, entrepreneur, and spoken word artist, brings a wealth of wisdom through his work with Reaching Intelligent Souls Everywhere (R.I.S.E.), one of Toronto's largest youth-led initiatives. His anthology "I Am Not My Struggles" speaks to the power of resilience, and during the event, he will share one of his stirring poems. Randell’s experiences, including opening for President Obama, offer a profound look at how struggles can lead to empowerment and purpose.
Nisrine Maktabi, founder of Finding Your Inner Oasis, is a psychotherapist and consultant specializing in helping individuals unravel intergenerational and intercultural trauma. Her work delves into the survival strategies that hinder personal growth, offering transformative insights on healing and connection. Together, Randell and Nisrine will engage in a deep dialogue on overcoming life’s toughest challenges to find your purpose. Attendees will leave equipped with actionable insights on how adversity can be the fire that lights their path to fulfillment. Don’t miss the book signing and opportunity to connect with Randell after the conversation!
