Set within the beauty of Franklin Canyon Park, this intimate evening will feature live performances by professional dance companies and student artists, in celebration of our multicultural and multigenerational mission and the power of humanity at its finest.

Convergence offers a firsthand glimpse into Founder Ricka Kelsch’s vision for an intentional, camp-like setting where the arts and nature come together to support youth creativity, connection, and social-emotional growth. This evening is about imagining a space that does not yet exist — but should for all to experience — where students can engage with the arts in nature, moving off of the concrete to walking paths and open-air arts spaces designed for creativity and discovery.

Students will also share their pay-it-forward projects, now reaching a global stage, demonstrating how creative expression can inspire empathy, leadership, and meaningful impact.

This is more than a night of extraordinary dance performances. It is an invitation to experience how intentionally bringing the arts into nature can contribute to a more connected, inspired, and culturally vibrant landscape—and the role we can all play in shaping it.

Since 2012, Dance and Dialogue has served 65,000+ students and community members through science-backed, arts programming that strengthens peer relationships, builds self-esteem, and encourages creative risk-taking. Through in-school residencies, large-scale gatherings, and immersive workshops, this dance and social-emotional learning curriculum equips participants of all ages with tools to build empathy, form lasting connections, and express themselves with confidence.
