Control & Conviction: The Actor-Object Performance Masterclass

Calling all arts practitioners who are keen on puppetry and performing arts! 

Led by award-winning theatre practitioners and puppet masters Tan Beng Tian and Oliver Chong, participants will learn the fundamental principles of rod puppetry and Actor-Object performance training, and explore ways to connect honest emotions with texts, voice, and movement.  

Participants will present a short solo puppetry piece at the end of the masterclass. 

You should attend this masterclass if you wish: 

• To deepen the practice of rod puppetry 
• To synthesise puppetry skills with a contemporary monologue delivery 
• To explore how puppetry fundamentals can align with your own practice 

This course is SkillsFuture credits claimable. 

Participants should be practising arts practitioners with a background in performance and movement.
