Have a curious object you’ve been dying to turn into jewelry? A pebble from a favorite hike? A mysterious trinket from your junk drawer? In this playful yet skill-driven workshop, you’ll learn to design and fabricate a contemporary pendant that includes a custom prong setting. Prong styles covered will include a partial bezel, a claw style, and back-soldered prongs. Bring your imagination, your soldering chops, and that special object you want to showcase. I’ll guide you through three prong-setting styles and help you transform your idea into a bold, wearable piece of art. After you have enrolled in the class, expect some handy-dandy handouts with additional information. You can expect to practice all pieces in copper. (Must have previous soldering experience.) Material Fee includes: Various solders, sheet and wire in copper and brass. Sterling sheet 1″x2″, and sterling 4″ of wire for prongs, 14,16,18g. Fine silver bezel strip as needed.Class size 10
