In this workshop we develop understanding of underlying physical principles of partner work to creating and cultivating organic and economical ways to move and dance. It's not about how to do it. It's all about how to listen and share it. It's not about being passive or active. It's all about how we find a moment, where all happen. To be open from center, redirecting to the moment while your pathway is constantly changing.
SPIRALS INTO GRAVITY
Saturday 29.3
at 14.30-17.00
Sliding scale: Pay what you can between 35e-50e
Registration is required in advance, Maximum 20 participants

Trainings are focused on physicality, presence and acceptance. We explore a range of awareness of one's own body and the connection to the partner's body and movement. We investigate our resting and moving bodies and how they relate to gravity, as also going into liftings and spiraling. Understanding the function of our joints, we experience our center and our limbs as well as their relationship to each other through movement.Technical aspects are combined with some specific techniques from Martial arts, partnering, improvisation, and explore dialogue of sensing, connecting, disconnecting, responding, resisting, playing and exploring availability. We'll also tune into the bony, muscular and skin/superficial fascial layers, with body work -type mobilisation and then taking that into exploration in dance.
Facilitator Tiina Jääskö has a master's degree in performing arts and she has worked as a performer, dancer, teacher and video artist in several countries and her dance films have been screened several years at the Canadian International Film Festival, The Contact Dance International Film Festival, Toronto.
