Consultation with Educational Psychologists re: Experts at Hand in Post-16
About this Event
As part of the SEND reforms, the government is proposing that Post-16 settings have access to the "Experts at Hand" programme.
One Education is developing a consultation and problem-solving service to help staff better understand and support young people in mainstream post-16 settings. Its aims include helping staff to develop skills to meet a wider range of needs and improve inclusion in mainstream education.
We would really like to gain the views of parents and carers about this. We want to understand:
- what concerns you have about SEND (Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities) in mainstream education at Post-16 level;
- what areas you think expert input would help;
- how Educational Psychologists could best be used by settings.
This session is exclusively for parents and carers of young people living in the city of Manchester.
We will serve lunch during the session so please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.
