Get ready to elevate your creativity with the final session of our Conservation Crafting series—where sustainability gets a stylish remix! Join DeKalb County Park Naturalist Tasha Messer and Georgia Beloved Naturalist alum Kimi Takikawa for an imaginative afternoon of next-level upcycling.

In this dynamic, hands-on workshop, participants will transform broken jewelry and upcycled Southwest Airlines leather into bold feather-shaped earrings, painted fringe pieces, and one-of-a-kind statement designs. Remix your own jewelry stash with beads, gems, and creative flair, or start fresh with the materials provided—no experience necessary.

Rooted in environmental education and inspired by the Repurpose with Purpose initiative, this workshop encourages participants to craft with intention. You’ll design two pairs of earrings: one to keep, one to gift, and one to donate to our community marketplace featuring sustainably made goods.

Let your creativity take flight as you upcycle with purpose—feather shapes, fringe, and all.
