A small, secular space for ethical attention and character cultivation in daily life
About this Event

Meeting location: Wegmans Cafetaria

Are you interested in exploring how everyday actions shape character, relationships, and personal responsibility?

This is a small, secular practice group inspired by Confucian thought and grounded spirituality.

Grounded spirituality here means:

✅ cultivating attention and awareness in daily life

✅ practicing ethical conduct and responsibility

✅ reflecting on personal habits and actions

This is not:

❌ a religious or mystical group

❌ therapy or counseling

❌ life coaching

❌ a place to receive advice or judgment

What we do:

short readings from Confucian texts

personal reflection and journaling

optional, non-directive sharing

Who this group is for:

✅ adults seeking a small, intentional space for reflection and personal growth

✅ people curious about Confucian thought or ethical living

✅ anyone wanting to practice grounded spirituality in daily life

Who this group is not for:

❌ those seeking spiritual guidance, mystical experiences, or a teacher

❌ those looking for solutions to personal problems

Logistics:

  • Group size: 2–10 participants
  • Duration: ~90 minutes
  • Frequency: once every 2 weeks (1st & 3rd Saturdays of each month)
  • Location: Wegmans eating area

Boundaries:

  • Attendance is voluntary
  • Participants are fully responsible for their own choices and actions
  • Sharing is personal only — no advice, judgment, or interpretation of others’ lives

We welcome curious, thoughtful, and intentional participants.

Come to practice reflection, responsibility, and grounded spirituality — and leave free to engage on your own terms.
