CONCERTS AT CHRIST CHURCH – SEPTEMBER 21 2025 at 4:30 PM
Christ Church of the Ascension (CCA) will host a CONCERTS AT CHRIST CHURCH event “The Music of Bach” on Sunday September 21 at 4:30 pm in the main church featuring CCA Music Director Tigran Buniatyan on harpsichord and organ.
“The music of Bach and his contemporaries from England France Portugal and Spain is best played on the historical instruments of the time for an authentic experience” says Tigran. “This concert is programmed around Bach’s “Clavier-Übung II” a unique collection of music that was published by Bach himself.”
Tigran Buniatyan received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Organ and Harpsichord from Oberlin Conservatory of Music and a Master of Music degree in Musicology from Yerevan State Conservatory. As a performer on historical keyboard instruments including many across Northern Europe Tigran has participated in numerous international music festivals and conferences including concert series and collaborations with other musicians. He has been involved in projects with renowned music ensembles including Tafelmusik and Phoenix Chorale and his repertoire includes works of The North German Organ School. Currently Tigran is a doctoral student at ASU studying organ with Dr. Kimberly Marshall.
